Our Wedding

Thirty years ago, we placed our marriage in God’s hands, trusting Him to lead our lives as one. Through every season, our love has been strengthened by faith, prayer, and the promise to walk together in His grace. God blessed us with two perfect sons, Chris and Matthew, the greatest gifts of our union, and a growing family that includes many beloved nieces and nephews.We have traveled near and far, grateful for the beauty of the world and the memories made side by side. We have also endured profound loss, the Matriarch in the Gonzalez family our mother Carmen, as well as my cherished grandparents. Our beloved parents of Anselmo, mama Celsa and papa Ramon are also our guardian angels in Heaven. Leaning always on God’s comfort and on each other when our hearts were heavy.As we celebrate 30 years of marriage, we give thanks to God for His faithfulness, for a love refined through joy and sorrow, and for the journey that continues under His guidance—hand in hand, forever committed to His plan for our lives.

God blessed our marriage with many gifts, including our eldest son, Chris, who has autism. Through him, we have learned to lean on God, love more deeply, and walk this journey together.

Son of Honor-Christopher Sarmiento

After God blessed us with our first son, He blessed us again with a second son, also on the autism spectrum. At a time when we thought we understood what our journey would look like, God gently reminded us that His plans are greater than our own. Through our second son, Matthew, we learned to trust more deeply, to surrender control, and to rely on God's strength each day. His life reaffirmed our calling as parents and strengthened the bond between us, teaching us that love grows when it is shared and faith grows when it is lived.

Son of Honor-Matthew Sarmiento

Lucas Gonzalez, our beloved nephew, will proudly serve as Junior Groomsman and Ring Bearer, bringing his sweetness, joy, and boundless energy to this special day. A true lover of family celebrations, he’s always ready with a big smile and a heart eager to help.He delights in taking on little tasks, carrying important items, and making everyone laugh. When he’s not charming the whole family, you’ll find him on the baseball field—an awesome pitcher with a strong arm and an even stronger spirit.We are incredibly proud of him and love him tremendously. It fills our hearts with joy to have him walk with us as we renew our vows on July 18, 2026, in Cedar Hill, TX.

Junior Groomsmen - Ring Bearer LUCAS GONZALEZ

Jolie is María’s niece and a devoted presence in our family. Warm‑hearted and dependable, she has stood by María through countless milestones, offering steady support and a calming, reassuring energy at every gathering. Her love for singing and acting shines through in everything she does, adding joy, creativity, and a touch of sparkle to our celebrations. We are grateful for the light she brings into our lives.

Bridesmaid -Jolie Gonzalez 

Gabriela will be escorting Matthew down the aisle, lovingly supporting him as he walks on the autism spectrum. God didn't give me daughters; instead, He blessed me with wonderful and beautiful nieces. Gabby is kind, talented, and incredibly smart. Her number one priority is serving God-everything else comes after. She loves having fun, spending time with friends and fully experiencing life. She's also a fellow Swiftie, and last year we traveled together to Miami for Taylor Swift's concert, an unforgettable experience. Gabby loves her entire family and has always been there for me and my sons. I am beyond grateful that God blessed us with such a beautiful soul.

Guiding Companion/Bridesmaid - Gabriela Gonzalez

Stephanie and Jalen will walk beside Chris, who will courageously be walking down the aisle while Mom and Dad renew their vows. Stephanie is my beautiful niece, and I thank God for the blessing of being her Tia. She is a loving, devoted mother to her precious son, Jalen; my sweet great- nephew who holds my entire heart. Jalen has brought so much joy, laughter and light into our lives. Together, he and his mom serve God faithfully, with Him as their number one priority. Just like Gabby, Stephanie has always been there for me and for my sons. She loves Chris and Matthew wholeheartedly, and they love her just the same. During the difficult days of Covid, Stephanie lovingly supported both of my sons with their studies, a gift I will always be grateful for. I thank God for Stephanie, for her heart, her faith, and her love. And for Jalen, who has wrapped us all around his little finger and filled our family with joy beyond words. They are a beautiful blessing to us all.

Ella "Bella" as I love calling her, she is my great-niece and the second newest addition to our family. Ella is filled with joy, happiness, and love. She is our precious blessing from God and a cherished gift to our family.

Flower Girl- Ella Rose Nguyen 

Emma Cardenas, my little niece. As yall can see she is a Cowboys Fan.....the fan base legacy continues. Emma is very adorable, charismatic, her spirit is full of life and love. As yall can probably tell, yes she rules in her household. But definitely knows to be respectful and to obey her parents. Emma loves going to school, gymnastics and playing with her friends and cousins.Emma loves when we visit, and has been very excited to know that she will be a flower girl.

Flower Girl -Emma Cardenas

Miranda “Mirandita” Sanchez is one of my beloved nieces and will serve as Flower Girl. Though she lives in Mexico, her bright smile and gentle presence feel close to home—she delights in sprinkling flower petals, twirling in her dress, and sharing shy giggles with family. We are overjoyed she will join our celebration.

Rebecca is my niece who is very bright, and talented. She has loving presence and is delighted and honored to join the Honor Squad. She lives in Mexico and brings warmth and enthusiasm to every family gathering. A talented gymnast, Rebecca’s poise, focus, and energy make her a cherished addition to our celebration.

Junior Bridesmaid - Rebecca Sanchez

Samara is another beautiful niece who will a sweet little flower girl she brightens every room with her gentle smile and curious spirit. She loves twirling in dresses, picking the prettiest petals, and sharing hugs with family. Calm, attentive, and joyful, Samara will lead the way down the aisle scattering flowers and filling the moment with innocence and love as we celebrate this wonderful milestone.
